Free Recipe: All Hallows Eve Cider

This is one of our favorite ciders for any time, although its in popular demand at our gatherings we have to make huge batches at a time. The fallowing recipe is scaled down for 12 1 cup servings. We always like more in our cups ;)

What you will need Is a crock pot (Slow Cooker)that can hold 4-5 quarts. We use the biggest one we can find.
Tea ball or coffee filter that you can place lose spices into then tie up.

Ingredients:
12 whole cloves
1/2 gallon of apple cider
2/3 cup red hot candies
1/4 cup dry orange drink mix (Tang works great!)
1 qt. water

1) place cloves in the tea bag
2) combine everything into the crock pot (slow cooker)
3) cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours
4) serve hot

** We like to add Orange slices, Lemon Slices (with the peels on wash before cutting and putting into the brew! To garnish we place cinnamon sticks in the cups.
We like to make this the week before the party and let it cool off to room temp. With a funnel we gently pour it into gallon jugs. or you can do pitchers. To warm up we simply pour into our huge pot (like for canning or pasta making or those seafood steaming parties, yep the biggest pot) and turn on med low. we start the heating process 2 hours before the party.
Please keep in mind our recipe is multiplied by 4.
This is also great on those chilly camping trips simply make before pour into a sealable jug and heat up at night.
Please note camp fires will heat it up quickly and will become very hot!

Enjoy!
