New Items and more

Greetings everyone!
We have been busy adding new items up on the website! We are excited over a new line we listed up yesterday! These are resins, hand rolled incense and attar oil! We tested the products first to make sure they would be a great add as well keep all our friends happy. And they will!
We tested the scent strength, burning times, and linger times. And they do meet our satasfaction of the companies claim. They are a line from Ramakrishnanda and all Resin, Incense and oils are hand made/mixed and blessed by Swami Ramakrishnananda and followers. These are a wonderful addition to our shop and we do hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
Some answers to frequent questions about this line: Are they strong? Yes very one incense stick will fill the whole house for at least 2 days! A teaspoon of the resin on a burning charcoal berquet will fill the whole house and last for days!  just a few drop of oil in a burner will fill the house for days, just 3 drops on an oil pad for oil lockets will keep for about a week.
Do you use them with the incense you make? Yes it complements very well!
Are there sample kits i can get? Not yet but we are working on that! We are compiling and working the the supplier to see if we can do this, It might take some time but we really believe in these products otherwise we wouldn't have put them up on our website!

We have added calenders, almanacs, Athems, magnets, scrying bowls, Posters, and lots more! And guess what we still have tons more to add! Remember we need your votes on the species poll! Vote and share it we need your help! Have a wonderful week everyone BB!

Free Recipe: Witch Fingers

MMmmm Nothing bets eating Evil Witch Fingers. Willow has some strange off hours, she spends her free time hunting down those evil witches who eat harmless children, well thats her story and she's sticking to it!

Yield 5 dozen (6 if you use an 1/2 tablespoon)

1 cup butter soften (may subsatute for margerin but will effect the dough)
1 cup powder sugar
1 egg
1 tsp almond extract
1 tsp vanilla
2 2/3 cups flower
1 tsp salt
3/4 cups whole almonds Blanched
1 tube red decorator gel (or can use light corn syrup died red with food coloring)

In a bowl beat together butter, sugar egg almond extract, & vanilla. Bet in flour and salt. You can now decide to divide the dough and add food coloring before you chill your dough. Cover and refredgerate for 30 minutes.
While dough is chilling out blanch your almonds. Put your almonds in a bowl pour in about 1 cup of boiling water let soak about 1 minute. Pour out hot water and pour in cold water for about 1 minute. Strain and rub the skins off with a towl. I find its easier to just peel them like an orange after their hot and cold bath.
Useing a tablespoon or mealon baller scoup your dough into 5 dozen balls. Roll each ball into finger shapes add the almond at the tip and make knuckle creses with your butter knife or very clean thumb nail.
Preheat oven to 325 bake for about 20-25 minutes. Let cool for 3 minutes. Lift up almond squeeze red decorator gel onto nail bed replace almond so the gel will ooze out.

Rember presntation is everything WIllow finds telling a story about how she came to have the fingers adds to the fun. Also consider making fun tray labels. Be creative have fun enjoy these wonderful cookies!

Halloween Devinitions: Making A Divination Mirror

Just a little witch
on high
She'll tell you that
your love is nigh
Your fortune on Hallowe'en
when told
My secret will the witch unfold.

-From an Early Nineteenth-Century Halloween Postcard

On Halloween at midnight the vials between the living and beyond is at it's thinnest which makes divination at its easiest. The following is how to make your divination mirror.
  • 1 convex piece of glass (An old clock face works well)
  • A wooden circle the size of the clock face
  • Black enamel paint
  • Morter and pestle
  • Eyebright (herb)
  • Wormwood (herb)
  • glass jar
  • small black cloth (a black napkin will do)
  • cheesecloth or a coffee filter
  • glue
Clean the glass. Paint two coats of black enamel paint on the convex sides of the glass. Paint both sides of the wooden circle with two coats of black enamel paint. You can use spray paint just be careful to not cause drips. Allow to dry thoroughly. Crush the wormwood and eyebright in the mortar with the pestle. Pour one cup of spring water into the glass jar. Add the herb mixture. Cover with the black cloth. Let stand for 12 hours. Using the cheesecloth, strain and dispose of the herbs. Paint over the enamel with the spring water mixture three times. Allow to dry thoroughly between applications. Glue the glass onto the wood disk. Let dry.
